About Earthwalk

The seed that became EarthWalk was planted in spring 1992, when Ellen Miller and Rev. Lorraine Weber created the Changing Woman Initiation Weekend. The success and growth of the Changing Woman weekends resulted in the creation of a variety of spiritual healing programs and workshops for both men and women under the creative direction of Ellen and Lorraine. Through these programs, a number of circles were birthed, - the Changing Woman Sisterhood, the Men of Arrows Brotherhood, the Young Maiden's Circle and the Young Brotherhood Circle.  By 1995 it was clear that a conscious community was forming and looking for a way of defining itself through its members and to the world around it. The individual circles would remain independent, but would contribute to the creation of a larger vision ~ a spiritual center.

A Brief History

In April of 1995, Lorraine Weber was ordained a minister in the Church of Tzaddi. Shortly thereafter, a convocation of community members was gathered for a weekend and the vision and mission of the EarthWalk spiritual center was birthed. That mission remains intact to today, and is contained in the charter and by-laws of the Center. In December of 1996 the EarthWalk Spiritual Center was fully chartered by the Bishop of the Church of Tzaddi. A Wisdom Council was created to direct the activities of the center and Reverend Weber was named chair of the council. This council has actively governed the programs and administration of the Center since its inception and continues today to be the vital governing force for the EarthWalk community.

Having been granted 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in 1976, the church of Tzaddi and its chartered centers are authorized tax-exempt organizations under group ruling 3010.  The EarthWalk spiritual center was included in this determination effective January 30, 1997. 

Our Mission:

Then as today the mission of EarthWalk has remained the same. EarthWalk is a spiritual center dedicated to the vision, transformation, integration and expansion of our human expression into the essence and truth of our unique being through love, healing, service and community. In achieving this purpose we have undertaken the commitment to offer healing, teaching, spiritual guidance, inspiration, worship, counseling and community service to individuals seeking personal transformation, healing and growth.

Who We Are Today:

EarthWalk is a vibrant community of people who have come together to further our connection with our Selves, with Spirit and with community. We are committed to the vision that each person has been given everything that they need to live the sacred dream within their heart, and that while each person must do their own work it is not necessary to do that work without support. Our membership is made up of an eclectic, diverse group of individuals from both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds and families. We work and play together, supporting each other in our quest to realize and live from the authentic place within our hearts.

What We Do:

The EarthWalk Center is authorized to provide spiritual ministry in both traditional and non-traditional forms.  This includes solemnizing marriages, officiating at funerals, dedications and rites of life passages, spiritual counseling, divine healing and hospice ministry.

EarthWalk also offers a large variety of workshops and programs designed to help individuals seeking personal transformation, healing and growth. Our workshops and programs are a unique blend of the metaphysical with the practical that assist with healing on all levels, from the physical and emotional to the energetic and spiritual. We provide a safe container for individuals to experience the best and the worst of themselves and to come to a place of peace and total ownership of all that they are and can become.

EarthWalk seeks to create a model for community development through the connection of diverse individuals and spiritual paths in a common vision for community while allowing individual spiritual expression and belief. In this way each individual is encouraged to find their unique relationship to the divine through their own personal experience and knowing.  To this end each person's spiritual path and religious belief is honored and celebrated as a unique true expression of divine knowing and love.

EarthWalk provides teaching in the fields of esoteric, shamanic, energetic and alternative healing modalities along with opportunities to practice and assist in healing rituals, transformative workshops and spiritual ceremonies. Through our ordination programs, individuals can become certified Healer/Counselors, Ordained Ministers or Doctors of Divinity in the Church of Tzaddi.

EarthWalk also offers a number of social events and community gatherings throughout the year. This is based in a philosophy that playing together is as important as praying together.

What is the Spiritual Path Called TZADDI?

TZADDI is a universal organization for fulfilling our agreement with the Creator by bringing light through the spiritual, educational and healing processes of integrating body, mind and spirit. In order to provide a frame of reference as to our shared belief system, we have established the following basic premises.  We do not maintain that these beliefs are the only valid ones, or that they are cast in stone.  Instead, we wish to see these expanded through contact with others' belief systems, recognizing that ALL belief systems have some part of the Universal Truth within them.

We do not judge others as to their chosen path or their personal Truths. Our path is the one we have chosen to follow because it is in keeping with our Truth and our nature, and like all paths on this planet it is only a part of the Universal Truth that we are all seeking. We support each person’s Truth, so long as that Truth does not harm self or another. We believe that all paths eventually lead to God and that Humankind, given free will on this planet, may choose a multitude of paths and corresponding lessons (karma) from the chosen earthly path. We believe that we are all connected at some higher dimensional or subconscious level. By denying this fundamental innate unity, we produce many of the conflicts and frustrations, which we experience in our earthly existence

We believe that God is love.  We believe that the lessons we draw unto ourselves, we do of our own free will, either voluntarily (in loving sacrifice) or through having taken an action against our own Truth.  Thus, we believe that the responsibility for our lessons lies solely with ourselves, and that internal responsibility is different from outside "blame".  We believe that there are no real failures in life, only varying levels of success, depending on how we participate in our own learning experiences.

We believe that each soul incarnated here chose, with full awareness, this life; the primary relationships (including one's parents) and the lessons that it wanted to learn.  It is part of each person's path to become fully aware of his/her life's plan in order to work through these lessons and to achieve conscious union with one's Soul. We believe that Humankind's physical body is the material expression of the Soul, which is here on Earth to learn the limitations of its beliefs and to overcome these limitations. We believe that the Soul is eternal.  The Soul reincarnates for many lifetimes, using a physical body, which has its own unique personality for any given lifetime.  When that physical incarnation has ended that unique personality and all of the knowledge gained from a particular lifetime is integrated by the Soul into what may be considered its 'collective consciousness'.

We acknowledge our direct access to all higher energies (even to the Creator of the Universe) limited only by degrees of love, clarity and intent. We believe that Humankind can obtain divine guidance, directly through their intuitive abilities or through direct channeling of energies of "Light" or from power-within, limited only by clarity and intent. We believe that Humankind has innate psychic talents, that only a few have developed actively.  We believe that these are gifts given to us by God, coming from our unique power-within to use in our Universal work, and to be applied in Love and not in power. We believe that Christ literally performed miracles as recorded in the Bible and that all Humankind has the capacity to do so as well, limited only by their clarity and intent.

We believe that there is ancient knowledge that has been hidden for thousands of years, which is now being made known.  We believe that this knowledge should be used for the evolution and enlightenment of Humankind. We believe that the source of scientific knowledge is of sacred (divine) origin and that the scientist only cements all new knowledge into this 'reality' with theories and experiments.  We believe that there are forces and energies currently unknown or unproved, whose effects can be observed.  Those sacred scientists who are willing to test these phenomenon will find that these energies and forces cannot be measured or explained by current theories, even though the results are observable and measurable.  This is the preview of the metaphysician or sacred scientist.

We acknowledge the existence of angelic, devic and spiritual dimensions and their separate missions, even though not all of us may be directly aware of their existence. We acknowledge that we are not alone in the Universe, but are, whether we like it or not, part of an interplanetary society.  WE accept the responsibility to discern Truth from Untruth and to distinguish those working 'within the Light' from those working 'blindly'.

We acknowledge the law of this society, taking responsibility for having chosen to incarnate and live here, and understanding the consequences of failing to live in harmony with those laws through the exercise of our free will. We acknowledge the uniqueness and the preciousness of the children of this Earth and commit to the Sacred Law that nothing shall be done to harm them. We acknowledge the gravity of the planetary environmental imbalance and support those who out of love for Mother Earth, work to preserve, protect and reclaim the environment back to its natural harmony and balance.

To this end we commit to providing a safe, supportive and sacred environment that allows spiritual awakening, personal healing and for the highest and greatest good, in alignment with Divine will and in accordance with Sacred Law.
