Part One: The Initiation
In the Feminine tradition, Spring is the time of initiation
and rebirth. In that tradition, the first half of the work
aligns with the season to encourage the formation of new
ground. The Initiation is one that is all but forgotten in our
culture: the rite of passage of Menarche. This tender and
powerful ceremony is but one of the many ways that each
woman in this gathering experiences the essence of her sacred
femininity as she steps fully into her womanhood. Throughout
the retreat all are held in the loving and safe container of
the ancient woman’s circle.
A female child steps into the circle of life through the passage
of birth. The child finds her way into her life through many
passages equally as profound as the first, but uncelebrated,
un-cherished and often unnoticed.
- The passage of time counts the ignored and
eventually denied moments.
- Forgotten? Not fully…
- A woman’s steps lead to the sacred space
of a Feminine Circle…
- When a woman steps into the Changing Woman
Circle she is invited to remember and experience
the instinctive source of her Feminine identity
and spirit.
- Her connection to the Great Mother through her
earthly lineage can be remembered and separation healed.
- In the Circle she uncovers that which has kept her
from the acknowledgement of the authentic feminine
energy.
Experiencing the teaching of the Ancient Elders through ritual
and rites of passage, she reclaims her dignity, wisdom and
substance in the world. In the ancient tradition, she will be
guided by other initiated women who teach, support, nurture,
listen and hold a space for her presence. Together, we create
relationship with the many aspects of our selves and rediscover
the joy and freedom of trust and innocence. In the Circle we
celebrate ourselves, our bodies, our knowledge and beauty
contained in the mystery that is woman.
